A great day
21st March, 2008All,
What a great day it was today, we have seen the wonders of Antarctica. The day started misty which was dissolving bit by bit. Mysteriously the landscapes were appearing with a fabulous light show (Lord of the rings is nothing compared to this). You can’t describe this but I have seen colors which I never saw, special yellow/gold and blue colors. I’m sure that I’ll keep on dreaming of these spectacular views. We even witness a large icebergs collapsing just in front of us, we saw a school of killer wale’s and so many others things.
What a great day it was !!!
Schatties,
Geert.

Hi Geert,
This mail because I think it is always nice to get some correspondence when you are travelling and of course to give you all our support from your home base Belgium, (and of course because I am a little bit jealous not be able to be part of the team ;-).
I trust all is well in Antartica ! We have been following your journey from closeby and it looks really a great adventure. But I do have some remarks:
We are glad everybody survived the (as discribed by Virginie) the ‘ Love Boat’ Cruise to the Antartic Continent and pictures do not reveal much of ‘heating’;-)
2.Important Message:
As usual you all are trying to do a too good job………………Although,we do realize that global heating and environmental changes are a very important issue, please note that today the 21st of March is the beginning of spring. Where we in Belgium were hoping to have a nice walk in the sun with the family………… . …………….today (in Belgium and in the whole of Europe) it is freezing and we had snow, and the Easter weekend promises to be very cold. Although it is the fruit of your hard work in Antartica to stop global heating, please let us have some good weather in spring and summer (it is also good for the business;-))
3.Important Belgian news:
I do not know whether it has to do with your intervention on the South Pole, but apart from the winter time, something strange happened today in Belgium………. we have a new government……….. but again maybe due to your efforts, it does not seem to be the very warmest team ever that is goin to lead the country.;-)
4.Important feedback:
Finally , we want to know ……………Since Coke needs to be drunk Ice, Ice and Ice Cold, please let us know how Coke tastes in Antartica. It should be the best place to have coke in the world isn’t it………;-)
Getting serious now:
I would like to congratulate you on the work you and the team are doing on the other side of the world and I think you are- together with the other Coke people - a great ambassadors for The Company. Give my compliments to all of the team and looking forward to hear your story when you will be back.
Warm ;-) regards
Geoffroy

Dag Schat,
