Arrival at Bellingshausen

18th March, 2008

Dear family, friends and our 2041 team back in Truckee:

The expedition started and we made it through the Drake´s Passage with ease. Meeting all the team members we have been working with over the last six months in person is always fantastic. We have a very energetic team and I anticipate the expedition will be phenomenal. Leaving Anne and Tiffany in Ushuaia when we departed was sad. The entire team misses you Tiff!!!! I have also loved hearing how the ebase team has been communicated with schools from all over the world….like Jack Richardson´s (Melbourne) which I visited with Robert last fall. I am very excited to see EBGL tomorrow and look forward to seeing how Robert and the team have been living for the last two weeks.

  1. Hi Windy !!!

Great to hear all is well and the trip has started.. I see too that the Drake Passage went well.. Jack and the kids were wrapped to hear from Robert from the ebase.. They refer to Robert as their friend from the Antarctic which is very cute!!

Hope the trip goes well and you all arrive home safely… Wish I was there again this year…

    Forever forward, Husky boy !!
