Diane Copini-Rigaud joins IAE 2008
10th February, 2008Diane’s initial thoughts on climate change…
Seeing the disasters like droughts and flash floods and the like in the media has impacted me emotionally. Personally i have witnessed glaciers melting in Austria. In the tropics where i live the effects of climate change are not yet visible. The only thing that we are noticing is that the hurricanes tend to be more frequent, more intense and closer to our island that is supposed to be outside the hurricane belt.

Dear Diane, My wish to you and the A-3 team is simple: Breathe in and breathe out, and with each and every breath you take, ensure that all others around you, whether it be human, plant or animal, have the same opportunity to do so, peacefully, within their lifetime. I hope we can ensure this for all generations to come. It is a big task to accomplish, but “WE” can at least do our share while it is our turn to breathe on our great Planet Earth! I wish you all a safe and memorable journey! My thoughts are with you! From Curacao, with love, Barbara!

Diane,
Vriendelijke groet,
Jan Pietjou.
